Native American Cultural Background

This bead work is well-known for its beauty and is used in mathematics. This design type is based on four-fold symmetry. The four images of four fold symmetry #1 are Embroidery Plains Indians, Shoshone Beadwork, Pawnee Buffalo Hide Drum, and Navajo Rug. Reflection symmetry is when the right half of something is a mirror image of the left half. Base four counting was used for Native languages. Four fold symmetry #3 is used as Navajo sand paintings in healing ceremonies. Four fold symmetry #4 is used for Yupik parka decorations. Four fold symmetry is shown with beads in rows and columns. The Native American beadwork was created before Europeans arrived. These designs were used to create wampum belts and to record messages and historic events.

Scavenger Hunt Reflection

I am good at finding the most important words to search. I need to work on deciding which website is the most reliable. I also must work on determining if a website is reliable or not.

Computer Project Reflection

I liked seeing the differences between two different computers, along with getting to know details about one specific computer. I enjoyed working with a partner so that we could discuss which computer we thought best fit the needs of the situation. It was challenging to find some of the specific details for a computer, such as the sound card or the optical drive.

Working With A Partner

I like working with a partner because it is easy to divide the work evenly. This way, each person doesn't have to do as much work as we would if we were working by ourselves. Each of us had to find the same information about two different computers and we split up the terms to define in half.

Introduction to Me

My name is Jenna and and am a Junior at RMHS. I love hanging out with my friends and watching Gossip Girl on Netflix. I have a brother who is a sophomore at UVM and a small dog named Cocoa. I love watching movies, like horror, comedies and romances. I can't wait to go to college, although I don't know where I want to go yet. My favorite subjects in school are biology and Spanish. I want to travel to Italy and Paris someday.
